The Alchemy Pullover is a top-down, drop-shoulder sweater that is knit with DK weight yarn, featuring slipped-stitch details on the back shoulders, at the top of the sleeves, and down the sides of the body.

The details on this pullover were inspired by the sweater Taylor Swift wore to the 2024 AFC Conference Championship football game where the Kansas City Chiefs secured their spot in the Super Bowl, and the song “The Alchemy” from Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. While Swift was a huge inspiration for me, the overall design is classic, timeless, and perfect for any knitter.

Gauge: 

Stockinette st (St st) 20 sts & 30 rows = 4"/ 10 cm on 4.5 mm (US 7) needles

2x1 Ribbing 24 sts & 32 rows = 4"/ 10 cm on 4.0 mm (US 6) needles

1x1 Ribbing 24 sts & 32 rows = 4"/ 10 cm on 4.0 mm (US 6) needles

Yarn: 

Dusty Yarn Co Classic DK (100% Superwash Merino, 246 yds/ 225 m per 100g) in the color HRH HGH, or a similar DK yarn that will meet gauge.

Please note: You may need more yarn if you intend to make any modifications to the length of the body or sleeves. The yardages recommended below include a 10-15% additional buffer.
